Lincolnshire Landscape Art Print
From: £16.95
These two companion pieces celebrate the vast, open character of the Lincolnshire landscape. Beneath a brooding, expansive sky, the two designs are drawn from photographs taken on a walk from my home in rural Lincolnshire, where the horizon feels endless and the weather shapes both mood and land. (This was one of the reasons my husband and I moved here!)
I am continually inspired by the striking contrast between a darkened sky and the warm, corn-coloured stubble left behind after the harvest. These arable fields – so characteristic of the county’s agricultural heritage – create a natural tapestry of golds and ochres that glow against gathering cloud.
Lincolnshire is one of the UK’s leading farming regions, its fertile soils and wide, open fenlands producing vast cereal crops each year, and this print quietly reflects that enduring relationship between land, labour and light.
