Description
King’s prep (formerly King’s Hall School) is the junior or prep school to King’s College Taunton. Originally known as Pyrland Hall, and located just beneath the Quantock Hills on the edge of Taunton, the school sits in 32 acres of fields and woodland with stunning views across Taunton to the Blackdown Hills beyond. A rural idyll, the Grade II listed building at the front of the school site is home to offices, kitchens, a courtyard garden and a boarding house on the middle floor. After creating its sister design (King’s College Taunton), I developed this to be a bright and bold depiction of this much-loved school. It has undergone a recent face-lift to include a nod to the vast grounds and woodlands that surround it
