Description
Far Ings Nature Reserve is located on the south bank of the Humber Estuary and is a crucial east-west migratory route for birds. The pits and reedbeds at Far Ings and those along the Humber bank are remnants of the once thriving tile and cement industry. Thanks to the innovative efforts of the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, the reserve now boasts a diverse range of wildlife and serves as a key stronghold for the bittern in the UK.
It was the vegetation and wildlife habitat at Far Ings that inspired me to create this version of my popular Humber Bridge design.
