Opened in 2001, and housed in the former St. John’s Church in Church Square, Scunthorpe, 20-21 Visual Arts Centre has built a strong reputation for presenting an exciting and varied programme of contemporary art, craft and design.

Encompassing a wide range of media, subjects and artistic approaches, the centre exhibits around 20 shows each year across six gallery spaces, presenting a mixture of in-house curated exhibitions, touring shows and exhibitions developed in partnership with fellow creative organisations.
20-21 aims to be both ambitious and creatively diverse in their approach, and as well as bringing arts and culture to the local community, it is committed to showcasing work by artists and groups who are often underrepresented in mainstream galleries. They also produce and deliver their own touring exhibitions to other galleries nationally and offer an extensive education programme for all ages and abilities.
